Which goes to why Lu is going to create a house where him and another are true Rulers and dictate the houses movements. Houses lately have no structure.

I think I'm misunderstanding but initiates give the most. The base for house drains is 50k initiates take off 3k of the cost. HOWEVER, the drain in itself does not promote activity as intended. The lack of conflict is because of the major implications of not playing neutral. Neutrality ensures you have support in countless ways.

All of the houses are held up by SoulMasters regardless of affiliation. AoE/Monastery/Order/Chosen will never close because they can remain neutral and ask a Soul Master to trap for them. Yet another reason to remain completely neutral in game and avoid conflict.

Houses are top heavy because house leaders don't have any reason to conflict with each other. They all with just help each other out (like they have been). Everyone wants the status and minor boons of being guardian. Friendships = rank

House wars are initiated completely by the Tember/Flower/Harkyn/Dreiko /BladeSlayer friendship. It's always an rest of the dream vs. them with an exception of a few outliers coming in and out.

Agree wholeheartedly with Chris. Can only speak for the Chosen, but we want to shake things up, cause conflict, be "evil" maybe, but in the same breath of all this plotting and scheming and planning remains the lingering thought... "Man we really need a Soulmaster so we can be self sufficient for when people get mad."

We may be derailing, but it stems from the same issue... The fact a house who members join because they "hear the call" are specifically targeting and coercing Soulmasters to adhere to an in-game system is a little laughable. This is a roleplaying game, so we have, and do make partnerships with people, but we also have to heavily recruit a specific focus (read: not the dreamer) as a contingency.

Just seems busted.

For clarity, the amounts listed per rank in arnaya's IC post are REDUCTIONS to the drain. Initiates reduce the drain more than any other rank.

Ah! Thank you Yuritau. That clarifies matters a great deal. A reduction is an entirely different pumpkin.
