Seneschals

Post by Dina »

Now, I am just looking for some answers from the GM team. I know DoL is a big house, heavy hitters and all, however not all dream at the same time.

If PoR is going to get a seneschal/guide with a chak that does 1 to 99 damage, I would like to see all houses get the same. Either get rid of them please or give one to each house that dreams like Kael Lupich does. It is only fair in my opinion.

What efforts has OoL done so far to summon or recruit a guide?

What exactly did the Corpse do? I think the 1-99 damage chaks need to go period. Kael is not Zaxun or Xun'rok.

I never liked the idea of house Guides, especially getting involved in house wars. I think there should be no Guides, but if there has to be, then every house should have one. A Seneschal's duty is to help 'guide' a house's inner workings, when they are required. They should not be used to balance out wars with player characters. Even if only some houses have them due to RPing methods and others don't, I'd still be fine with it if they just remained neutral when it came to war. Things got way out of hand in SoT with Guides getting involved and I'd hate to see that happen again.

OoL doesn't need or want a guide. Any guide who were to show up would be escorted to the Green Room and told to clean it. They would then be promptly locked inside and Flower might remember to refill the food/water dishes.

Kael has been a combatant for awhile, so him just laying down arms because he's a Sene would be very odd IC. Also in the battle last night in the Palisades Kael was tossing mostly 46s from what I saw, maybe a 50 once or twice. He does have that nifty purply chak that isn't quite a Zaxun chak. That thing is pretty beast and was fun to keep dodging the night he made it at the forge

However in talking about senes. So far the best example of an advisor I've seen (In HC history that I can remember) is Sicario (Major props and kudos to that controller). He gets actively involved in the house, but when it comes to fighting he only himself goes beyond a support role when either he gets attacked blatantly or when it's in the means of the RP going on at the moment.

Also @Koi-Shadow, everytime I see your little picture I hear in the back of my head "Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? The Shadow knows!" :D

It seems that the Senechals only really get involved much in a fight when its either fitting for the RP... or to even things out a little when the characters of their house are way out powered by a hostile group. Since everytime a war comes around and gets started, the population takes a dive again... and fewer seem to come back after... I'd call that a good play from the GMs. The Senechals so far have been pretty good about most things that I've seen anyway :)

Kael uses lvl 46's, 50's and 60's. I am not sure why you keep mentioning level 99 chakrams? He made a lvl 70 chakram at the forge roleplay as mentioned above to fight Zaxun but it has run out of charges.

P.S. The Corpse did obviously Roleplay Kael Lupich in as Seneschal, and it wasn't easy, and it was very unique and incredibly fun. The Peace Corpse group are always RP'ing to the hilt, especially the non-combatans, there are many things that are not seen,( IE: yesterday, Nathan's Bizarre Bazaar) .. just as there are many things PC members don't see from others.

Rest assured, we don't "cheat" and/or get any more perks than anyone else. :)

Hmmm Arnaya told Dina this in game that he has the 1-99 chak like Zaxun. In that case, nevermind! That was the only real thing that upset me.

The 1 to 99 chakram was a projected range from a few people. It hadn't been seen in game for a bit, but wasn't sure if that was because he didn't have it anymore or was just saving it. It was big and bad enough to one shot 4th and 5th sphere's lol. Sorry about that Dina, Arnaya had been told in game that it was 90 by a couple of people too

There are only a handful of people that have 90 dreamsoul, which would be the only people who would be able to identify that as the maximum output. ;)

That's ok! Like I said, that was the main thing that bothered me. If this is not the case, there are no issues.

I never once said that PC was cheating, so I am unsure of what you're saying Sorsha...

Chakrams as a whole need to be re-evaluated.
