The Whisperer has a gift.
Listening, quietly, tuning in to nature's sounds, nature's kin.
An astounding understanding of the residents of the woods, sea and sky.
Second nature to live and breathe among them, calm and at peace, content.
When it comes to Human nature, the gift disappears.
Trying hard, but ultimately always stumbling, faltering, cowering.
An alien among the masses. Always on guard, wary, fearful, pushing away to survive.
A tattooed smile on a solitary cracked old soul in a sea of the mundane.
