Jake Walker's Nightmare

Jake had worked hard one day and faced many things, be it helping others or fighting off nightmares from those who were new to the city only to teach them how to defend themselves. Jake took great pride in helping others because he knew it would add to the strength of the city and create a more balanced environment for everyone. After finishing his normal routes of making sure everyone had a good day to supporting those who needed it, he decided to call it a day as he felt quite tired. He drifted into a deep sleep to the point most would call a dreamless state. Well... one would love to call that state a dreamless state but for jake, it was only the start of something he would never forget.

as Jake drifted from the city, he had thought he would get some rest but suddenly he found himself at the entrance to the city once again. He thought to himself, "wait... i don't feel to tired and it must be a new day." Jake shook it off and continued into the city. During this time, he had no real concept of time and it never really came to mind. When entering threshold, things seemed off. Everything seemed to be not as bright as he could remember but maybe it was just him. Jake took off for the library but what should of been the library wasn't what he had found... for some reason it was a room full of ago knights! Jake was flipping out and thought he should report this. As soon as he had stepped out of the library... a few of the ago knights had followed him. He didn't know what was going on but he wasn't going to find out.

Jake quickly made it up the basin but with danger around every corner. He couldn't figure out why every room had one of these nasty ago knights. Suddenly he got up into the home that he was part of only to see many shamblix floating everywhere within the house. Jake used an item to go invisible and silently stepped around each of the nightmares that were around. "why so many Shamblix nightmares!?" he thought to himself as he roamed around the halls. The most concerning thing was that there were no dreamers in the city with him. He just didn't get why there were so many of these things and not a single dreamer wanting to hunt these things down. Suddenly he realized his effects had warn off and before you know it, he was surrounded by the many Ago Knights and Samblix nightmares. But none of them fired upon him. They had just stared at him as they grinned.

Jake suddenly thought of his arts and tried to use them to make sure he would not be paralyzed or scared to death but the arts failed over and over again. He couldn't understand why they wouldn't work but he kept trying over and over. The nightmares chuckled and laughed as Jake was trying to evoke these protective arts and at the time, it felt like for ever. After a while, Jake realized it was no use but for some reason... he is still alive. Jake looked around and saw that the nightmares were getting closer and closer to him and yet not attacking. Jake spun around slowly and saw that the claws and jagged teeth were getting longer and sharper and he felt as if the only way to get out of this, was to blast his way out. The moment Jake touched his chackram, a blinding light of fireballs came rushing at him.

Suddenly, Jake woke and flew out of his bed back in his shard, gasping for air and covered in sweat. He ran his hands quickly all over himself to see where he had been hit but to no avail. Jake.. was unharmed. He thought to himself "what the hell was that!?" He couldn't understand what could of triggered such a dream but it took him some time after to unwind. To this day, Jake still gets edgy when he sees a shamblix, Thanks to that very dream of so many being in a place that he had though was truly safe.
