It was clear that this Prophet was aware that if he remained here, nothing would change. Seemingly he knew that if he were to pass through that veil. . . then EVERYTHING would change.
Thoughts danced about in the mind of thr Prophet and it seemed as if he might be lingering there for a purpose . . . Perhaps to deny entry to that thing unknown to the greater collection of dreamers. It was not however all that clear if he himself even believed that alone he could be even remotely prepared to defend the City against this unknown force. Although, it was more than evident that this Prophet seemed to care deeply for all of those he knew so well, those he only knew only a little and even those he knew nothing about.
Still, these questions remain:
- Why did the Prophet tarry in this Cloudsbreak as long as he has?
- Will the Prophet remain here for much longer?
- Was there something significant that kept him from entering the City?
. . .
Surely he did appear to be alone, but dreamers…. appearances are kept within the beholders eye. He was not alone because surely there was another with him, perhaps even more than one.
If you had the opportunity to see that which I have seen, then you would know the reason why the Prophet remained in the place he is. You would witness for yourself that the choice to enter into the City was not his at all because not one of the portals that could be seen here was spinning for him. Hie access had been revoked.
But who would forbid the Prophet, the Scryer Belom from entering the City? Perhaps it is all of you who own that power? Or perhaps it is just a few? Perhaps it is not you at all. After all, it is not just the lot of you who dream here. The ancients, the elders, the mares of the day and also those of the night all dream in the City of Underlight. Perhaps it is they who stay his entry?
Nevertheless dreamers, keep watching the portals, making sure that they spin or you might just find yourself just like him.
