Hello there! Let me tell you a story. One story that I have told before in the past is a story of the Ottoman River. A story that comes from a children's book from my shard that I regularly read long ago. Another story from that same book, I would like to share with you is the story of "The Three Lanterns." This story is a three part series one for each lantern.

The Three Lanterns
The first lantern is named Ulia. This lantern guides those that are living and working. She loves energy and burns off the strong work of others. Yet she never tires out when there is no work to be done. She encourages those that see it to work hard and take pride in their jobs.

Ulia herself is a copper and bronzed lantern, with a clear glass bulb. Inside is the flame that resembles a tall and stoic woman with bright red hair and eyes that look off into the distance, to the future. She glides effortlessly across the sky to reach all that work tirelessly to provide for their families and stays with them until midnight.

This one night Ulia was flying to a man who was working in the mines in a dark cave. She flew threw the small crevices gracefully and reached the man who upon seeing her was startled. He jolted his hard hat jumped on his head as he clenched the shovel in his hands tightly, but was easily calmed by the sight of seeing the lantern glow brightly and energetically. She spoke to him, "Do not be afraid! I am Ulia!" she said spryly. He replied, "Oh I thought you were someone else.." the lantern smiled and said in a upbeat tone, "No troubles! I see you are working. Need a light to guide you?" he replied, "Dear Ulia I dont think you know the work I do. I bury people." her light still ever bright she replied, "Oh like a gravedigger?" "Sort of..." he says hesitantly. Her light began to dim slightly as she got a sense of danger in the man's presence, "Oh..." she says slowly. She realized something in her light, and taking in the surroundings within the corner she spotted corpses aplenty. All within differing stages of decay. Ulia began to hover slowly backward and payed the fellow a goodbye, as she flew out of the cave quickly.

This man wasnt a gravedigger. She knew exactly who to call...-{S}

The Three Lanterns
Ulia called upon her sister, Una. The Lantern of Death.

Una is a full steel lantern with an intricately designed bulb. The bulb appears to have etched within the glass skull like designs that are elongated and stretched to the length of the glass. Within burns a dark blue flame, that resembles an elegant woman with long black hair. And a dark black look around and in her eyes, yet her eyes are not frightening.

Una lights the way for death. Her job comes with a heavy responsibility. She can either guide death to those that are deserving of such, those that are ailing and suffering, or those that have lived a long life. She lights the person, and soon after death is to be not far behind.

Ulia told Una of the 'gravedigger' she found in the caves. And Una simply nodded gracefully, and then floated away slowly toward the town. The opposite way of the caves, yet Una knew where she was going. Slowly she floated in the night time sky, the clouds reflecting her blue light making the sky appear as if it were a full moon out that night. She reached a small wooden house, where she rested on a barrel that was on the porch. She closed her eyes as her flame went silent and darkened to a black flame making it appear that there is no flame at all. Within a few moments a tall lumberjack man came out of the house in need of a light, he saw Una sitting on the barrel and grabbed her taking her inside the house. As he looked over the ancient lantern he began thinking to himself as to how he retrieved such a lantern. He looked over the details of the lantern and shook his head, knowing that the lantern was not one he owned. He called over his housemate, the man walked over. It was the man who was digging in the caves, though he was an average looking fellow with a slight childish grin across his face.

As the men conversed about the lantern asking each other about such, Una sprung alive. Her blue light burned brightly throughout the house, her eyes opened wide and foreboding. She simply looked at the two frightened looking men and said in a guttural deep voice, "May you two burn." She then floated out of the house slowly as her job was done.

Within moments of her light leaving the area, there was a knock on the door. The Guardsman from the town were there, they compiled of several law enforcers and townspeople.

They were armed, and had gotten a tip about serial killers within the area. They were ready to take them in, dead or alive.

What of the families though? -{S}

The Three Lanterns
The families from such a horrible situation calls upon the last lanterns aid. The Lantern of Comfort. Uuli

Una after finishing her job came upon her sister Uuli, just in time to come to the aid of the town. Una nodded to Uuli and smiled, Uuli the same in turn as she went into the town ready to warm and comfort the hearts of the ailing.

Uuli is a bronzed lantern with gold inlays of flowers. Roses, lillies and honeysuckle. The bulb is tinted the color of the sun, a bright yellow. And within holds a warm golden flame, that resembles a gorgeous woman with curly long blonde hair and a smile that warms the heart.

Uuli is a lantern that comforts people in their times of need, in their times of pain, and even in their times of joy. She brings her light to those that ask for warmth, those that don't even know they need warmth, and those that deserve warmth. Wrapping her light like warm arms around a person she holds them in her bosom and soothes their minds.

Once within the town, Uuli's burned her lantern's light as bright as the sun until the entire town was alight with golden rays. Uuli stayed levitating in the midnight sky until the next week, lighting the town every night. The families of the town that lost their loved ones to the horrific began to feel warmth and soothed, not healed of their loss. Nor did they stop grieving. Uuli's job is one that does not stop, she still returns to that town. Until this day.

All the lanterns, have a responsibility. And still do their works today.

You may have seen one soaring through the sky at night.

The End

The book closes and rests face up on the ground.

I hope that you all enjoyed the story! I know I enjoyed telling it. There will be more to come soon and maybe even some sketches of the Dream. Who knows! -{S}

On the ground lays a plum book, it lays opened and flipped to an open page with sketches of Dreamers on both sides. A small note is in the upper left hand corner: Inspired by Cianne... Thank you Cia. The background shows the facade of the Order of Harmony.

Anyasha
A tall lithe figure of a woman with long hair and a streak of white within her hair, is sketched on one side of the page. She is facing away from the front showing only a profile. Yet within the sketch, her face shows a look in her eye of steely purpose, a past of tragedy, and a look of great experience. Her brow appears to be furrowed into one of seriousness. Her cheek bones are sharp and her face is striking. Her lips are smirked into one of warmth. She appears to be wearing a black dress, with a large thick belt. Attached to the belt is a rusted, yet still dangerous looking sword with runes along the handle and several rusted chakrams that line the length of her leg.

Tember
Next to her on her right, is a slightly shorter woman with a curvy shape and what appears to be dark hair that cascades behind her. She stands proudly with her hands behind her back. She is facing in front and shows her beautiful face, one of elegance. Jewels adorn around her forehead. Her eye shows that of sensibility, one of determination, yet one of her brows is raised into that of playfulness. Her eyes are bright and her smile is contagious. She wears a gown that is shaded in with sparks of glitter, and adorned with jewels.

Nmoto
Next to her stands a lean man who wears simple clothes of cloth and hides, a rather weathered hat rests on top of his head hiding patches of dark hair that stick out from underneath his hat messily. His frame is agile and strong. He has a warmth to him, his eyes show a beautiful glow within the shading. He smirks lightly with a positive aura about his face, his stance is one of confidence, yet one of unsureness as his hands are at his sides.

Restel
Next to him stands a short man with a lean frame. His face is stony with a sharp jaw. Within his eye is a look of honor, hardworking and kindness. His smile is gentle and warm. His light hair is simply short close to his head and slightly messy. He wears a constructed outfit out of pelts, with metals strewn out of various places to keep the pelts together. An old cloak drapes over his shoulders. He stands with a casual stance, placing his hands in his makeshift pockets.

Aketo
Next to him stands a tall broad shouldered man. He is turned around only showing his back, while looking ominously over his shoulder. His mask is that of an oni half mask, with sharp teeth, his eyes are black obscuring his emotions from the outside. He wears a long robe, with thick ropes tied around his waist, and a pair of black Kamas attached to the ropes. His hair is short and black, two short horns appear to be protruding from his hairline. His hair slightly obscures his pointed ears. His posture is confident and mysterious. A small apparition, a demon-like entity rests on his other shoulder, and appears to completely of flames.

Pinhook
Next to him stands a tall average built man facing to the front with one hand rested on the man to his right's shoulder and the other on his waist, his eyes and smile are bright and welcoming. His hair is short and dark. His eyes show that of experience, joy, and friendliness and slightly squinted from how wide he is smiling. His smile is warm, bright and energetic. He wears a simple outfit, with a vest, t-shirt underneath and combat pants with several pockets. There is a glow around him. And aura of harmony.

North Wind
Next to him stands a confident and curvaceous woman with a bright and gentle warmth in her eye. She stands at an angle, with a single hand on her hip and her head tilted slightly. Her hair curls over her shoulders and down her back. She has a friendly and peaceful smile. Around her neck are adorned pearls, she wears a vest that has black snaps down the front and back. Shoulder pads with spikes protruding out of them are seen on her right shoulder, and on her left. She wears tight pants, with a white studded belt.
