The use of misdirection in battle comes with extreme risk, as such it is important to understand the situation you find yourself in before you start using the art.

The fact is, it uses a lot of Dreamsoul. If you are a 6th sphere dreamer, you run the risk of being collapsed with a single charge of a level 50 chakram with one hit after evoking the art.

The only time you might find an effective use of the art is when there are a number of individuals fighting one or two targets. If you are in a lengthy battle with numerous targets, do not use misdirection because maintaining a line of sight on multiple targets can be a challenge at the best of times. The best time to use the art is when you are using offensive arts that irritate the target in question. Blast, Abjure, Deafen, Vampyric Draw, Firestorm etc will all get a lot of attention fast. Misdirection can also be used when you have multiple parties evoking these offensive arts. By disorienting your target, you can frustrate their attempts to target you. Just be aware that other dreamers may not want to be misdirected. You are always best understanding the tactics of the other combatants in the room before introducing something that can affect friends and foes alike.
