Idoaclesian Treasure Chest: Vampyric gems

Post by Riggs »

A series of memories and gifts from the era of Idoaclesia:

- Color Wheel -
As such, our illustrious City, regardless of the varient, is filled with so much beauty it's almost breathtaking. But what if there was more? More options, more variety, more spice? The Idoaclesian City contained more. The version of the Idoaclesian color wheel was far more advanced than what we are currently accustomed too and it would certainly be a blessing to expand our current color schemes - not just for our avatars and gear, but for our forged items as well. Imagine the colors of stormy grey, silvery steel, and perfect pink - to name a few. How much more creative could we all be, simply with a larger spectrum?

- Energy Arts -
You know, the amazing (and often tragic) thing regarding the Idoaclesian City was the absence of regularly spawning nightmares. For many of us, their mere absence produced many countless hours of boredom; but for many others, it provided extra time towards more beneficial areas - such as art creation. Imagine if you could spend less time worrying about trapping, and strengthening primes, and political warfare, and devoted more time to the arts? Then where would you be? Where would the overall advancement of the City and the focal classes be? Likely with a whole slew of new arts. . . and in Idoaclesia we had those. We had energy arts, a product solely from using our energy and focus differently. Ah, to reinforce shields, hasten chakrams, and realign them again. Could be fun, no?

- Speed Racer -
The GateKeeper race was more unique in Idoaclesia because they could *win* *any* race. It's true, a minor Keeper art left the rest of us in a cloud dust and envious as we wiped our faces from the debris. Battles and duels offered more entertainment than the current capacity allows; important tasks and experiments of a time sensitive nature could truly be enhanced by the speed to which some Keepers could burn up the City's paths; and one's physical components could be enhanced with a simple snap of some golden fingers. We can all sprint to get from here to there, but the Idoaclesian Keepers could simply do it better.

- Weakened Subspace -
To counteract the speed racers, there were the ever pesky Senders that found comedy in weakening the subspace of Idoaclesian citizens. A simple snap of ruby-tinted fingers could trick the mind and slow it down. Moreover, a dreamer's physical state was also compromised and heavily burdened with weak movements. The enfeeblement we would often suffer from was no laughing matter - regardless which jester decided to treat us to his or her trick.

- Circle of Smiths -
Idoaclesian Forging efforts were far different than what we are all familiar with now. In the fallen City, the effort to create was much more complex and a deeply intimate experience. It required 'elemental masses' - not merely power tokens that can be used as a substitute - but specialized, crystallized masses. Further, item creation often demanded the assistance from various Forging Apparatuses scattered throughout the City - most of which are now gone, lost, buried. The Guild that oversaw the City's most gifted creators was known as the Forger's Circle, and those who joined were required to specialize in a particular field. As for this author, the station of PortalMaster inside the Circle of Smiths has proven to be a blessing, and an ongoing experience. I wonder, if our current City was as this, what would you specialize in?
