Drain Essence, The Art and it’s Effects

Drain Essence is an art that sacrifices an essence to oblivion in order to withdraw the life force of the focal elements within. This art should NEVER be used on an un transmuted nightmare essence as the soul of the unawakened dreamer inside will be DESTROYED.

Nightmare essences that have been already cleansed, banished, or imprisoned have already been released from the shell and to wherever they have been sent they are no longer subject to the oblivion imposed upon the essence by draining it. While it is not good that cleansed and banished souls are still tethered to the taint from the plane of chaos, they may still be retrieved and subsequently freed from that tether.
