Latency, Lag, and Crashes

Please post instances of lag, slowness, or game crashes here. Be detailed as possible with where you were, what you were doing, and the time of the event. This will help us track and hopefully identify whatever issues are plaguing some of the player base. I may request more details from some of you as incidents are reported.

It is already a known issue that Forge Talisman will occasionally cause the evoker to crash. We have been investigating this one for awhile and have yet to find the exact culprit.

Thank you for your assistance and patience.

Would like to report that, beginning around 7:20pm DST, during our stronghold meeting, we have been hit with multiple storms and tossing from the City. They seem to be continuous and not sure of the cause. Multiple dreamers have been affected. We are all located in the Peace Corpse stronghold when these occurred.

Thanks!

At around 5 PM est today all the mares in CoD despawned. An agoknight poofed right infront of me, mid fight. They respawned about 10 minutes later however they were lagging really hard. I couldn't evoke arts while in a room with a mare but could as soon as I left the room.

Edit: Looks like the issue is dreamwide for me at the moment. Some areas where mares should be there aren't any. Mares are frozen elsewhere.
Gens and item pickups/spawns appear to be working.

Thank you for reporting this. The Dream will be restarted and back up shortly.

This may have been a precursor to Leolus' report. Please let us know if it happens again.

Thank you!

The Underlight and nightmare servers have been restarted. Please respond to this post if you continue to have issues with latency or mares respawning. We will be monitoring it.

Dream well,

6 times last night, and I quit counting at 6 tonight. Always network errors, but everything else on my end is working fine On-line wise. I can barely hunt in game because the lag is so bad with the mares.

I've been informed that there are some known network issues with our provider. We'll continue investigating mitigation for the issues that we can control but the network problems are something out of our hands currently.

Please continue to send in Bug Reports or post here when you have issues. Being as specific as possible regarding where you were, what you were doing, and how many people were around is preferred. Also, as mentioned last night, please inform us as soon as possible when there are issues with consistent crashing in the presence of others. This is a known issue that can only be resolved with server restarts.

I am unable to process into rooms with mares, it will continuously give me the message:

12:35:56: You are not yet well enough in tune with this area to use an art that affects other dreamers; please try again in a moment

while in those rooms I cannot complete a sense dreamers or house members evoke, just like when storming normally. If I leave those rooms, I can complete the evokes as normal. Still suffering from periodic client crashes blaming my ISP even though my latency looks good through speedtest.net

Same here. Rooms with mares in them are completely busted.

Further notes, any attempt to interact with another dreamer, IE give, JP etc is met with immediate crashing. Just being in the same room as another dreamer is causing periodic crashing which wasn't happening when I was up at the house alone.

I am lucky if I can get out of the room before I storm out.

I suppose I should finally post about the issues I’ve been encountering. For the last 2-3 weeks, I’ve been consistently crashing at least two times or more each day I play. I haven’t discovered any pattern; it happens when I’m evoking arts, when I’m not, when I’m typing, when I’m AFK, with a lot of people in the room, or just one. The error is: “Underlight has encountered network errors, etc”. Each time, I get ghosted and locked out of the game for 5 minutes.

Five minutes or more. That's the one I usually get too. And the lag has been pretty bad lately. Tonight for example, square hits on a horron darkmare were doing No damage about 60+% of the time, I'm going to assume it was due to the lag.

Having issues today, I can log in, but I never come into phase with the mares, I'm able to travel around the city, but should I try to evoke flame or trap, I get the message about not being in tune with the area, a few minutes later, crash with notice of issue with service provider. Further info, I can evoke whatever I want as long as there is no mare in the room. Update: Interactions with other dreamers appear to cause the crashing as well.

Dits. Can't stay in for more than a few minutes before getting kicked, tried gens in harrow, the shams are standing still.

The server was reset this morning, the mare like to take their sweet time punching in for work when it comes back up. They should be in now!
