The Ethereal Council

A cabinet of dreamers of various beliefs throughout the City, united in one direction. Not one single Council member will have more influence than the next, as each dreamer who sits on The Council will have equal vote. The Council will take votes before making changes and decisions that impact the Council with a majority rule. It is in good faith of membership to the Council that should you not win the vote, you still participate in whatever decision is made. As a Guild, there will be no designated leader.


The Appointing of the Chair

The Chairman of the Council is a position that will be voted upon. The first Council Member to hold the Chairman position will do so with a majority vote. The Chairman will then designate an Assistant Chairman. The body of the Council may change the Chairman at any time, should they wish. A dreamer must be formally nominated to challenge the Chairman seat. Upon such the Council, excluding the Officers will vote on the nominated dreamer. In order to appoint a new Chairman, the council must achieve a unanimous vote on the nominated dreamer. Should they achieve such, the new Chairman will then select a new Assistant Chairman.


Chairman of The Council

Responsible for directing meetings and keeping order while ongoing. The vote of the chairman means no more than the next, the chairman merely has a responsibility to keep the guild moving forward. The Chairman may appoint the Assistant Chairman of their choosing.


Assistant Chairman of The Council

The Assistant Chairman provides the same duties as the Chairman, in the Chairman's absence. As with the Chairman position, this is merely more responsibilities not more influence.


Council Member

The Ethereal Council member holds a responsibility to keep an open mind and forward progress in the City. Council Members will vote on matters and direction of The Council itself, with each member and officer holding a vote. Council members may present personal projects to the Council for vote to receive formal assistance. While acting as the Cities experts on Ancient Ethereal Beings, Council Members will be expected to carry themselves to a certain standard of behavior within the City.


Joining the Council

New additions to the Council will be brought before the body by a Council Member or Officer. In order to join the Council a dreamer must be in good standing of the City and possesses a desire to explore and understand secrets long lost to our City. A nomination will be made by the current Council member, on the potential member. The Council will then take a vote, awarding membership with a majority vote. Officers and Council Members will vote alike, with each vote being equal.


Removal from the Council

Similar to being removed from an officer position, a dreamer may be evicted from Council with a unanimous vote. The officers and members alike vote on this matter, save the charged member. A move must be brought before the council to remove said dreamer from the council, why, and then a vote taken. the dreamer remains on the Council until the Council as a whole agrees. In order to remove a dreamer from the Council, one must be able to make a case justifying such prior to a vote being taken. The accused dreamer must get a chance to speak, as well.
