IRC should never be utilized for in-character purposes. Any and all attempts to incorporate IRC for role playing purposes outside of the UL [roleplay] game environment is heavily frowned upon by the Koi-Team.

If they're linked in the OOC theme song thread, then that should be fine. Though I have noticed links placed on the in-character forum as well, which I believe definitely shouldn't be used.

I thought that's why they do have the IC forums and member area forums, so ppl stay IC, but not exactly need to do it the OOC way, which would be IRC, FB, etc? Not sure why anyone would think it would be ok to do what they have done, including youtube lol. I haven't said anything till now cuz I figured the GM team would take care of it.
