Since AoE is so loved, turn AoE into a freespirit congregation. The house would open entirely. Freespirits could house here without specificy beliefs, but could hold their own type of purpose.

Emergence academy a teaching/dreamsmith/spiritual house (possibly connected to the teaching guild). The house would be opened all the way up to the public.

Union of the Covenant (Council of Wardens) purpose can be barrier between the chaos and the city. Keepers of the Palisades. Union drains.

KoEs can be actively seeking to break down the walls of the Palisades protected by UoC (The Wardens). An emeny of the Palisades. Keepers of the City.

Dreamers of Light can be trying to push the souls and essence manipulation. This would give purpose to essence beliefs.

House Calenture can be trying to push the belief of absence of soul and essence banishment. This would give purpose to essence beliefs.

Dreamers of Light and HC find something else to push that they can be at odds about. Essence manipulation is dead.

PoR- the home of the City Guard, or Guardians. This house remains open to the public for the use of the Guard. UoC works for PoR.

Order of the Sable moon- This house left damaged and destroyed, waiting for someone to clean the damage and open it.

The future of houses

Make houses the center point. Take player beliefs out of houses, and give each house a purpose/role for the city. This does not mean that players cannot hold their own personal beliefs.

The houses would close as they are now, and people would rejoin a house based on its purpose.

All houses would be opened for a set purpose.

With the ideas below, missions could be created to cater around each of the houses purposes. Example. KoEs could be sent into the palisades to raid it and gather rev essences.
